Strengthening Bonds Across Borders for Women's Empowerment

On behalf of the Institute for Rural Sustainable Development (IRSD), we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Pramila Acharya Rijal, President of the South Asian Women Development Forum (SAWDF), and Ms. Sharada Rijal, General Secretary of SAWDF, for organizing a remarkable virtual induction meeting for their esteemed advisors representing seven countries.

We are deeply honored that our Chairperson, Mrs. Shirani Weerakoon, was invited to participate in this meeting as an Advisor representing Sri Lanka.

Mrs. Weerakoon, on behalf of Sri Lanka, expressed her sincere gratitude to SAWDF for graciously facilitating this induction meeting. The discussions were inspiring and reaffirmed the immense potential for collaboration between Sri Lanka and Nepal, particularly in the realm of women’s empowerment.
